Alien Skin Photoshop Tutorial
1)Create a New Document 800x600. Now press D then X to reset your colors, White Foreground, Black BG.
2)Now select your Reflected Gradient tool(Top bar after selecting your Gradient Tool, 4th one) and go from top to bottom on your document.
3)Ok now go to Filter>Distort>Wave and use THESE settings. No. of Generators 85, Wavelength 1-45, Amplitude 5-35,Scale 100/100, Undefined areas: Repeat Edge Pixels.
4)Now go to Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap. Strength: 15, Detail: 10 and Smoothness 5.
5)Now press Ctrl+U and set your(be sure to Checkmark "Colorize" or it will still be black and white) Hue:90 Saturation:60 and Lightness: 0. Alien Green should be the resulting color.
6)Ok, now duplicate that layer and go to edit>Transform>Flip Vertical. Now set the blend mode to "Darken"
for the top layer and set its opacity to about 40.
7)Use it as a background texture for just about anything, below is an example of what it could be used for.
