Tentacle Photoshop Tutorial
Open up Photoshop and create a new document. It should be 500x500 (or however big you want), and the background color should be black. Using the Rectangle Marquee tool make somethng that looks like this:

Now go to Filters> Artistic> Plastic Wrap, and enter the following.

Now go to Filters> Blur> Gaussian Blur, and enter the following.

Now go to Layer> Layer Style> Bevel and Emboss, and enter the following.

Now go to Filters> Render> Lighting Effect, and enter the following.

Now go to Filters> Distort> Shear, and enter the following.

Click on the Move tool which should be right next to the Rectangular Marquee tool. After you have selected the Move tool go to Edit> Transform> Distort.

Play around with this and when you are satisfied click the small "X" at the top of the corner.

Go to Image> Adjust> Hue and Saturation. Play around with it until you get a color that you like. I recommend a dark color.

When you're done right click on the layer and go to Duplicate Layer. Click on the Copy and go to Filters> Distort> Shear. Colorize it a different color, and also use the Move tool to make it look different from the first layer. Keep doing this until you're satisfied.
Here is something I made. Of course I was in a hurry, so I know your result will be better than mine.
