The Eye Photoshop TutorialPart 1: The Flares Part 2: The Eye Part 2: The Eye 1)First we need a new layer by goin to Layer>New>Layer. Name this layer J1. 2)Draw an oval to fit in the center of the design. with your Elliptical Marquee Tool. This is found by right clicking where you found the other Marquee Tools. Press Ctrl+D to reset the colors and click the Paintbucket tool and make it black. Then go to Layer>Duplicate Layer. Name this layer J2. 3)Now goto Select>Modify>Contract. Make sure Layer J1 is selected. Set to 10px. Now hit Delete. 4)Select Layer J2. Goto the Gradient Tool(same place as paintbucket/right click it). Choose Raial Gradient at the top bar. Go to your colors pallete and make the color #CC9900. Make sure in Layer Pallete J1 is above J2 in the list. Then drag it halway in the oval Upward to the middle top of the piece to end up with this.(Make sure in the top bar its also set to "Foreground to Background"). 6)First goto Filter>Distort>Lensflare. Brightness 85%, Lens Type=105mm.Now while its still selected goto Filter>Distort>Zigzag. Amount 20%, Ridges=5. Should now have this. 7)Goto Layer>New>Layer and name it J3. Make sure this layer is above both J1 and J2. Draw an vertical slit oval to fit in the center of the design. with your Elliptical Marquee Tool. Press Ctrl+D to reset the colors and click the Paintbucket tool and make it black. 8)Again grab the Gradient tool. Select Linear Gradient and drag from the bottom of the oval up. Then Filter>Distort>Spherize @100% and Normal. Lastly go to to the Layers Pallate and adjust the Opacity to 75%. 9)Select Layer J1. Ctrl+Left click that Layer in the Layer pallate box. Goto Layer>Layer style>Bevel and Emboss. Style is Inner Bevel @Depth of 105%. Gloss Contour should be set to "Cove Deep". Then Layer>Layer Style>Gradient Overlay. Just use the default settings of Normal Blend, Linear Style, and angle of 90*. |
